My wife refuses to talk about our problems
Lack of sex drive is the most frequent problem among women attending sex therapy clinics. What is important to establish is whether your wife has practically no sex drive at all, or whether previous bad sexual experiences have affected her or if it is to do with how she feels towards you.
A zero sex drive is most likely to have a biological explanation such as low testosterone levels, insufficient blood flow to the clitoris or vagina, thyroid problems or diabetes.
Certain prescribed drugs can also lower libido. So tell her gently how deeply this is affecting you and ask her to see her GP for some simple tests.
Alternatively it could be that when she was a child there were a lot of negative messages around and the effect of that still lingers on, or she could even have been sexually abused. If it's not a physical reason then psychosexual therapy could help.
