My son threatens to hurt me
This is a terribly frightening and serious situation and not something that is just going to go away, so you must get help.
He may have serious mental health problems and for his sake and for your protection and others safety he needs help, otherwise he could get into a lot of trouble.
So first get in touch with your Social Services (their telephone number will be in your local directory).
Alternatively talk to your GP and ask be put in touch with your local mental health services. From both these approaches you should be able to get help and support for yourself and your son.
If your concerns are not taken seriously enough, contact your local 'Carers Organisation' or get legal advice to enable you to apply pressure to get the help you need. The CAB (Citizens Advice Bureau) can give information about this.
