The purpose of this study is to compare the daily doses of fispemifene and a placebo in the treatment of hypogonadism (low testosterone).
In order to participate, candidates must be 40 years or older with a testosterone level of less than 350 ng/dl. Subjects must not have a history of sleep apnea, consume more than 14 alcoholic drinks per week, have BPH with obstructive urinary symptoms, or have a history of or current breast cancer, prostate cancer, abnormal rectal exam or elevated PSA Cardiovascular disease, thromboembolic or blood coagulation disorder.
This trial seeks to investigate if the study drug works in preventing episodic migraine from developing into chronic daily headache (head pain that occurs at least 15 days per month).
Candidates must be between 18 and 65 years old who have a history of migraine headaches and don't need health insurance to apply.
It will take about 10 months for an eligible person to finish the study and will involve about 10 visits to the study center and about 5 phone calls from the clinic.
Research sites are located throughout the United States.
The primary objective of this trial is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a combination birth control pill for the treatment of dysfunctional uterine bleeding.
Women 18 yrs and older with prolonged bleeding (periods lasting more than 8 days), frequent bleeding (2 or more periods per month), and excessive bleeding/heavy bleeding will be eligible. Those who have a BMI (Body Mass Index) of greater than 32 and/or have thrombophlebitis or thromboembolic disorder (blood clotting disorder) do not qualify.
