How can I boost my protein intake as a vegetarian?

 How about a handful of nuts or seeds, or a golf ball size serving of peanut butter spread on some bread? Both are excellent sources of protein and also supply essential fats needed for healthy skin and hormones.

Alternatively soya is also a fabulous source of protein - for convenience you can get it in instant pot snacks, like a healthy version of pot noodle, from health foods stores.

You can also find it in Hearty's soya nuts, which are a lower fat alternative to peanuts, also available from health foods stores and the specialist aisle of some supermarkets.

Another thing you could try if you have a microwave is a quorn ready meal.

Beans are also quite a good source of protein - so you could go for a bean salad, a baked potato with vegetable chilli or baked beans on toast.
