BAY 43-9006 is an investigational drug being studied as a potential treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma. Participants in this clinical study must be at least 18 years of age, have a life expectancy of at least 12 weeks, and have advanced HCC that is histologically or cytologically documented. Research site located throughout the United States.

Macular Degeneration

CNV is a condition where there is a growth of abnormal blood vessels under the retina of the eye that "leaks" fluid and blood causing loss of central vision. The purpose of this research study is to compare the safety and effectiveness of three different investigational combination therapies with Visudyne. Participants must be 50 years or older and have doctor's diagnosis of subfoveal choroidal neovascularization (CNV) due to age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Research sites located throughout the United States.

Bone Density

A 4-month study with an 8-month extension will evaluate the safety and long-term usefulness of an osteoporosis medication in post-menopausal females with low bone mineral density (BMD). Participants must meet the following criteria: females 45-75 years old, five years postmenopausal, have mild-to-moderate osteoporosis (BMD T-Score from -2.0 to -4.0) and must be willing to have a non-invasive bone density test. Research sites located throughout the United States.
