Let's dance!: Where to do it

  There are lots of opportunities for dancing in the Puget Sound region. The list that follows is just a sample:

BELLEVUE

Bellevue Senior Center, 4063 148th Ave. N.E., Bellevue, 425-452-7681.

Mondays: Swing dance, 8-10 p.m. $5 per person for Bellevue residents, $6 for others. Introductory swing lesson offered beforehand from 7:30-8 p.m.

Second Tuesday each month: Dance to music of Bellevue Sound of Swing, a 20-piece orchestra, 2-4 p.m., $3 per person.

Thursdays: Ballroom and pattern dancing with three-piece band, 12-2:30 p.m., $3 per person and suggested $1 donation for refreshments.

Quarterly: Evening dance lessons. Next series starts in mid-January. Call for information.

BOTHELL

Northshore Senior Center, 10201 E. Riverside Drive, Bothell, 425-487-2441

Mondays: Beginning basic clogging lessons, 12:30-1:30 p.m., $4.50 for members, $6.50 for nonmembers; next level clogging lessons, 1:30-2:15 p.m., same price; intermediate clogging lessons, 2:15-3 p.m., same price.

Tuesdays Nov. 18-Dec. 16: International folk dancing, 9:30-11 a.m., $12.50 for members, $15.50 for nonmembers. Cost is for all five sessions.

Wednesdays: Ballroom-dance lessons, 1-2 p.m., $26 for four-week session. Next session starts Wednesday. No partner needed.

Thursday: Line-dancing lessons, 10-11 a.m., four-week session for $25. Next session starts Nov. 13.

Fridays: Ballroom dancing, 1-3:30 p.m. while Swinging Seniors practice. Official dances with the Swinging Seniors are at the same time on the last Friday of each month, although next two dates are Nov. 21 and Dec. 19 because of the holidays, $3.
