Brad Pitt also manages to diss the paparazzi. I like his style.
Brad Pitt has defended the sale of photos of his new daughter, insisting the money will be given to charity.
Pitt and Angelina Jolie sold pictures of Shiloh Nouvel to People magazine for $4 million, sparking criticism of the exorbitant price. Pitt, however, has told Newsweek magazine: “Knowing that someone was going to hound us for that first photo – and was going to profit immensely for doing it – I just couldn’t live with it. We were able to turn that around and collect millions for people who are really going to need it.” This comes not long after Jolie told Anderson Cooper that she gives a large portion of her income to charity.
To some degree, Pitt also considers it a dig against the paparazzi, adding that “It’s the first time [he’s] actually felt like [they] have some degree of control over” the attention they have received from the media. |

You know the old saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words," but for some - like Tom Cruise and his girlfriend Katie Holmes, it's worth a few million words more than some are willing to part with.
Haven't you pondered why there has not been any pictures of the Tomkitten? Besides the conspiracy theories that Suri doesn't exist, no one really has asked the question.
Well, apparently the reason we have not seen any photos of the spawn of Scientology is because the going rate wasn't near high enough for TomKat's standards, and the photogs were not interested in paying the premium price, according to Fox News reports.
A photo shoot of Suri was reportedly offered to the glossies, but the reported near $3 million offfer for the photos was reportedly viewed as a slap in the face for Cruise and Holmes, and they pulled out of an deal.
In stark comparison, pics of the baby Shiloh Nouvel with her beaming do-gooder parents, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, in a recent People magazine photo spread snared $4 million.
And now, according to a source at one of the mags, Suri's price – despite the speculation and curiosity – has spiraled, now that she's three months of age.
" Shiloh was the whole deal," an unnamed source told Fox. "We won't see a baby like that again for a while." |

Paris Hilton takes part in hotel wind-up
Reality television star Paris Hilton has taken part in a radio show wind-up of one of the Hilton hotels.
Hilton, whose great-grandfather founded the hotel chain, agreed to ring up the Glasgow Hilton and ask for a discount on a room there.
During the prank, which was aired on Real Radio, the television star asked the reservations clerk for a discount on a standard queen room, which was quoted as £170 to her.
The clerk replied: "There is no discount I can initiate, I'm afraid." When further questioned by Hilton, he said: "That is the cheapest rate I have available to me."
Real Radio host Robin Galloway said: "I didn't think Paris would be up for doing the wind-up, but she was a great sport and even thought the guy in reservations at the hotel was way too serious." |
