Publicist denies Jean Reno heart attack

Jean Reno's publicist has denied rumours that the French actor suffered a heart attack on Wednesday.

It was reported yesterday that Reno, 60, was flown to intensive care at Fort-de-France hospital in Martinique after falling ill on holiday in the Caribbean.

The Mission: Impossible star and his wife Zofia were staying with French rocker Johnny Hallyday and his wife in St. Bart's when the incident occurred.

However, spokeswoman Christina Papadopoulos insisted that the hospital visit was just a precautionary measure after Reno experienced "discomfort" from heartburn and gastroenteritis.

She told the BBC: "It was definitely was not a heart attack. He is fine and healthy and enjoying the rest of his vacation travelling in the Caribbean."

Reno also starred in Leon and The Da Vinci Code.
